We present our "Gold May Cross Pearl Necklace" from the "Carmen" collection, a series of pieces that offer a sensory journey through a Granada Carmen. In Granada, a Carmen is a traditional house, typically located in the Albaicín region and characterized by a garden and orchard.
We conceived our Carmen as a classic "locus amoenus," an idealized, idyllic, and tranquil natural setting that invites contemplation of nature and the enjoyment of all the senses. A place far from the hustle and bustle. An Eden with views of the Alhambra. A place also conducive to love.
At the beginning of May, the city is filled with flower-decorated crosses and its cármenes, which are open to the neighborhood, allowing everyone to participate in the festivities as a ritual of the arrival of spring.

As a general recommendation, the ideal would be to store the jewelry in the original box that you will receive with your order since its chemical composition guarantees the preservation of your jewelry against external agents such as humidity and this will make it always look like new.
At PLATÓNICA, most of our collections have a matte finish that can be recovered on silver pieces with a silver cleaning liquid sold in drugstores. In the case of gold-plated silver jewelry, rather than cleaning we could talk about precautions in use. Our gold-plated silver pieces contain a three-micron coating, which makes them durable and does not require special maintenance. However, all products that contain alcohol attack the gold plating and can shorten its durability, so we recommend taking special caution with colognes, creams and soaps.
